Glassmaker Wine Co. is always looking for new, rightously farmed vineyards to help out with. We Choose our vineyards based on a complex gut feeling that mixes, economics, soil nerd shit, grapes we love to drink and locations that we feel we might add our own interpretation to their flux terroirs.
Currently we're very happy to be involved with 6 vineyards in sonoma, lodi, contra costa and monterey counties.
"Now is a time I will reimagine California. I've done this before; it might be the reason i keep living here. The geography and the communities of this large end of a continent are broad and strange, malleable and diverse. I loved wine when I left this place, and returning four years ago to farm has given me a new way to interpret both the past and future of these places here. I am thankful, yet aware that there is much more to feel, understand and imagine of this golden state." - JW
AN Ode to Marsanne. Cause its hard to make this work, that is to make wine that I believe in to be beautiful and afordable. Qupe' was a major inspiration in doing this, cause back when they actually made marsanne they made it a benchmark for this state and under 20$! I mean dam. Such a wonderful grape, it takes the things that initaially made me love Chardonnay and then adds all this jive and honey suckle and not much acid! I don't get it but its majik and its a grape that should be planted, vinted and blended 1000 times more than it is here in Cali. Rousanne on the other hand....may be Glassmaker Wine Co's white whale...
